Great museum of the 1000 Islands and the Gananoque area.

Neat and fascinating. I wish that I had had more time there.

Great museum! Free, donations appreciated. Depicts history and geography of the 1000 Islands region. Second floor is quite extensive and has a great 30 minute movie on Boldt Castle. The only drawback is that the exhibits seemed to have no order. I read about the war of 1812 then turned the corner and read about life in the 1930's. I couldn't find any chronological pattern to it. All in all, a good little museum.

A place to go to know the history of 1000 islands — very interesting and informative. The staffs were accommodating.
