You can’t beat the location, it’s right on the water and most rooms have a great view. Checking in was a bit chaotic as we arrived in a big group, but the room was nice and clean, although a bit dated, and had a fantastic view.
My wife and I rented a river front room for the weekend. The river was beautiful but the room was in shambles. Bobby pins left all over the desk and table, candy on the floor near the bed, the fireplace didn't work, the thermostat on the heat/cool unit didn't work, the glasses were dirty, the light switch in the bathroom had visible grime and filth on it. We were warned to stay away from the Inn, we wish we had have listened. Avoid this place, clearly it has gone very far down hill
I stayed at the Inn for 3 days after Canada Day. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was great as well.
Finally a place that actually knows how to make wings! My partner was a huge fan of the fish and chips as well. Service was great as our server and host was smiling the whole time. The atmosphere is festive and traditional. There's a water view but it was too cold so we didn't take advantage of sitting outside. The place is clean. My only complaint, they need paper towel in the bathroom because I washed my face and couldn't find any and I really didn't want to blow dry my face in those hand dryer thingies. Otherwise, great experience!
My only complaint is that there is not an elevator which I was not aware of until check-in and I was staying on the third floor of the main building. I likely could have asked for the room to be changed but decided I could deal with it. I've looked on the website and don't see it posted anywhere. I would recommend posting it somewhere so that elderly people or people with disabilities are aware. As an example, my parents are planning to visit and when I first told them that there wasn't an elevator, they said they wouldn't stay there but I explained that there are other buildings on the property that are at ground level.
Stayed 2 nights on the third floor. The hotel itself is lovely but very dated. The rooms we're clean and well kept but the bathroom was in need of a reno. All staff we're kind and helpful. Beds were very comfortable and spacious.
Otherwise, everything else was great, sitting out on the dock is very nice in the evenings. The rooms are a bit dated but mine was quite clean and I didn't have expectations of it being an incredibly modern hotel.
There is ample parking available and it’s a very short walk to the main street.
The dinner at night was absolutely fantastic. There is a limited but varied menu to choose from, the food came out fast and the staff was very friendly.
